February 06, 2015

Dear Baltic Friend/Friend of the Baltics!

The Joint Baltic American National Committee, Inc. (JBANC) is organizing its 11th Baltic Conference – History Repeated:  Baltics and Eastern Europe in Peril?

The main conference will take place on Saturday, April 18, at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel in the District of Columbia. We will be hearing from a number of policy experts, diplomats, media representatives, community activists, and government representatives. The following is a preliminary look at panel themes for the main conference day on April 18.

JBANC 11th Baltic Conference – Preliminary Panel Agenda

1. Russian Disinformation/Propaganda
2. Defending Ukraine
3. What does Russia want?
4. Western Response

As is our custom, we plan to have our traditional briefing with U.S. Administration officials on Friday afternoon, April 17, followed by an evening reception hosted by a Baltic embassy. If you decide to come in a day earlier, you are welcome to participate in the Central and Eastern European Coalition’s (CEEC) annual Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill on April 16th.  This will give you an opportunity to meet with members of Congress and their staffers and voice your concerns.

Additional information about the conference is available on JBANC’s website: http:/jbanc.org and JBANC will also be frequently updating conference information on Twitter at @JBANCchatter.  You can also contact us at 301‐340‐1954 or jbanc@jbanc.org.
